Winston Ricardo Arnon was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, in 1984. At the age of 10 he immigrated to the Netherlands. He trained at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and was an exchange student at the Alvin Ailey School in New York. Winston gained his first professional experience in projects by Gerard Mosterd and Cecília de Lima and in 2008 he joined the dance company Conny Janssen Danst in Rotterdam, where he remained until 2013. Further engagements led him to Sally Dansgezelschap Maastricht as well as the Dansateliers Rotterdam and Korzo Den haag. From 2013-2020, Winston Ricardo Arnon was a member of the ensemble of the Tanzcompagnie Konzert Theater Bern, where he performed works by Koen Augustijnen, Ihsan Rustem, Felix Landerer, in the title role of Estefania Miranda's Othello and Das Schloss, in Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's Faun, and as the Joker in the opera production Carmen. Sharon Eyal and Jo, Etienne Béchard's Mr Rabbit. For the project CUT - Cinema Unleashes Dance. He choreographed the piece Invisibility Would Be Preferred in spring 2014. He created several works at the KTB, Remote and most recently Flesh, Blood and Bones. Since August 2020 Winston has been working as a freelance artist, discovering new ways to approach his creativity and artistry. From 2022, Winston Arnon will join the Jury of the Swiss Performing Arts Awards
