Neil Höhener

Dancer

Neil Höhener (*1998, Mexico City) trained at the Zurich University of the Arts (2016-2019), receiving his BA in Contemporary Dance. During his last year of studies he began working with the Nunzio Impellizzeri Dance Company. He was part of Skopje Dance Theater for the dance festival „Dance Fest Skopje“ in 2019. In San Sebastian he joined Dantzaz and the company „Proyecto Larrua“ for the „festival DNA“. 

During the 2019/2020 season, he joined Club Guy and Roni, Poetic Disasters Club in the Netherlands, Groningen. He was part of the production „High Risk Body“ with Marcel Leemann Physical Dance Theater in Bern and in 2021 he joined the Cie Marchepied in Lausanne.

He worked with: Itzik Galili, Barak Marshall, Michael Schumacher, Dunja Jocic, Lorand Zachar, Jasmin Morand, Renaud Wiser, Boris Charmatz, Chris De Feyter, Adrijana Dancevska, Emanuele Soavi, Ihsan Rustem, Luca Signoretti, Winston Arnon, Angela Demattè and Phillip Egli amongst others.

Neil Höhener

Neil Höhener was born in Mexico City, grew up in Switzerland and studied at the BA Contemporary Dance at Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. Where he was furtunate to perform works by Itzik Galili, Barak Marshall, Michael Schumacher, Jasmine Morand, Lorand Zachar, Ihsan Rustem, Emanuele Soavi.

He gained his first professional experieneces working for Nunzio Impellizzeri Dance Company and with Skopje Dance Theater performing works by Risima Risimkin and Adrijana Dancevska at Dance Fest Skopje 2019. During the season 2019/20 he was part of Club Guy and Roni, Poetic Disasters Club in The Netherlands. In 2021 he joined the season from the Cie Marchepied in Lausanne performing works by Yann Lheureux and Cie Utilité Pubilque. Further project with Karolin Stächele, DAGADA dance company followed in Freiburg, Germany.

In the past he was on stage with Dantzaz/Proyecto Larrua at Festival DNA, Basque Country / Zürcher Theater Spektakel work by Boris Charmatz / Choreographers in Residence works Winston Arnon, Angela Demattè / Marcel Leemann Physical Dance Theater. He could present his solo piece “White Room“ at the opening of the Tanzhaus Zürich and at the Dance Fest Skopje in 2019. For the Solo Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart 2022 he will premiere with his solo piece “take a seat“.
