Annabelle Peintre

The French dancer Annabelle Peintre began dancing at the Colomba Ballet school in Orange, France followed by the Conservatoire National de Danse in Avignon. She had the opportunity to dance main roles in numerous classical ballets. In August 2003, she was engaged in the young company ‹Compania Nacional de Danza II›, where she gained her first professional experience in Nacho Duato’s works, among others. In 2008 she entered in Ballett Basel, where she performed in works by Richard Wherlock, Jiri Kylian, Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Jorma Elo, Mauro Bigonzetti, Rami Be’er, Christopher Bruce, Blanca Li, Angelin Preljocaj, Stijn Celis, Hofesh Shechter and Brian Arias. In 2013, Annabelle was engaged in the Opera de Lyon where she expanded her repertoire, dancing works by William Forsythe, Mats Ek, Maguy Marin, Rachid Ouramdane, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and many more. Upon returning to Switzerland in 2016, she was a permanent member of the ensemble of Ballett Theater Basel until 2022.
